PRIVACY POLICY

1. STATEMENT REGARDING PRIVACY POLICY
QELI recognises the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information we collect about people, referred to in this policy as customers. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the word customers includes visitors to our web sites, subscribers to and users of our services, purchasers of our products and advertising by customers/sponsors.
We are bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cwlth) in relation to the handling of personal information.

2. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
2.1 General
We collect personal information when we provide our services to you. Generally we will tell you why we are collecting information, when we collect it, and how we plan to use it—or these things will be obvious when we collect the information.
As a general rule we do not collect sensitive information. However, if we do, it will usually be for the purposes of providing our services and, if the law requires us to, we will seek your consent to collect it.
We will usually collect personal information directly from you, although sometimes we may use agents or service providers to do this for us. Where we are unable to obtain personal information directly from you we will obtain your consent before information is obtained from another party. We may also acquire lists from other sources, both from other companies and from other public documents.
It is possible that we may collect personal information about you from other sources without your direct knowledge. Examples of this may be where funds are transferred from your bank account into our account and your bank account details are provided to us.
When you look at our website please be aware that our Internet Service Provider makes a record of your visit and logs information about it. This is the usual practice for an Internet Service Provider. This information may include but is not limited to:
(a) your server address
(b) your top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, edu.au etc)
(c) the type of browser you are using
(d) the previous site you have visited
(e) the date and time of your visit to the QELI site
(f) the pages you accessed and documents downloaded from the QELI site.

2.2 Cookies
This site does not currently store personal information in cookies. If used, cookies on this site will be strictly limited to providing the visitor with the ability to customise the site for return visits or to allow the visitor to carry information across different pages. Cookies will not be used to track or identify visitors for any other purpose.
Cookies are data that a website transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. They can facilitate a user's ongoing access to and use of a site. They allow website owners to track usage patterns and to compile data that may be used to improve content or to target advertising. If you do not want information collected through the use of Cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to deny or accept the Cookie feature. But you should note that Cookies may be necessary to provide you with features such as merchandise transactions or registered services.

3. USE OF INFORMATION

3.1 Personal Information
QELI uses your information to provide our services to you, to fulfil administrative functions associated with these services (for example billing), to enter into contracts with you or third parties and for marketing and client relationship purposes.
We may share your information with other entities which are related to QELI Limited, within Australia. They or we may also use your personally identifiable information to assist us in improving our products and services, and any of us might be in touch to let you know about goods, services, or promotions which may interest you.
We will only collect and maintain in our database certain personally identifiable information from you when you provide it to us on a voluntary basis, for example, when you make an inquiry, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter or forums, or establish an email account.

Your email address will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it, and it will not be added to a mailing list or used for any other purpose without your consent, nor will we disclose these details to third parties without your consent, unless required by law. However, email messages may be monitored by authorised IT staff for purposes such as system troubleshooting and maintenance.
We will not share any information about you with third parties, except as provided by civil privacy legislation.

3.2 Use of Aggregate Data
We may collect certain non-personal information to optimise our services—including our website—for your computer (for example the identity of your internet browser, the type of operating system you use, your IP address, and the domain name of your Internet Service Provider). We may use such non-personal information for internal purposes, including, but not limited to, improving the content of our site.
QELI may use personally identifiable information in aggregate form to improve our services, including our website, to make them more responsive to the needs of our customers. This statistical compilation and analysis of information may also be used by QELI, or provided to others, as a summary report for marketing, advertising or research purposes.

(d) security of external and internal premises
(e) up-to-date technology and computer maintenance to prevent unauthorised access (e.g. firewalls, antivirus software and antimalware software)
(f) secure databases.
Please be aware that this site does not provide facilities for the secure transmission of information across the internet.

5. ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will try to handle all requests for access to personal information as quickly as possible and provide that information to you within a reasonable time following the receipt of your request. However, some requests may involve more time than others.
If, upon receiving access to your personal information, or at any other time, you believe the personal information QELI holds about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please notify QELI  immediately and we will take reasonable steps to correct the information so that it is accurate, complete and up to date.
